Some Sevens Related To The End-Times 1) The Day of Christ is mentioned seven times in the New Testament: Most of us understand the Day of the Lord is the time period that covers the tribulation period until the Great White Throne Judgment. It is what is happening on earth when the Lord Jesus Christ is judging the whole world - from the tribulation, on through the Millennium, and culminating in the Great White Throne Judgement. What many are not aware of is the references to the Day of Christ. This is what is happening with the church in Heaven while the Day of the Lord is happening on the earth. While these two periods overlap (during the seven year tribulation period), they are referring to two different spheres (ie. the church in contrast to the nations of the world). Sevenfold Promises To Blot Out Or Not Blot Out People's Names Seven times the Bible says God will blot out or not blot out people or their names. Saved By Cords, Rags, And A Basket Here is an interesting seven of sorts. Feel free to let me know if you think I missed one. These were on my mind last night, and through various words searches, I could not find any others. Introduction To God’s Magnificent Sevens One thing that has intrigued me the last few years in my Bible studying especially is all the sevens that I and others have found in the Bible. Of course, we all know the mainstream ones people talk about, such as Jesus’ seven I Ams in the Gospel of John ; Jesus’ seven sayings from the cross; the seven churches, seals, trumpets and vials in the book of Revelation. Even though the word seven and sevens occur 54 times in Revelation, there are countless more, such as a word or phrase occurring seven times in that book (or a multiple of seven, which has the same symbolic meaning), seven people or groups in view, a passage having seven things happening in it, a sevenfold list given, seven names or types of statements, a sevenfold approach to the whole book.
